Titre : AVENUE21. Planning and Policy Considerations for an Age of Automated Mobility Type de document : document électronique Auteurs : Mathias Mitteregger, Auteur ; Emilia M. Bruck, Auteur ; Aggelos Soteropoulos, Auteur Editeur : Berlin [Germany] : Springer Nature Limited Année de publication : 2023 Importance : 460 p. Présentation : ill. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-3-662-67004-0 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Open Access Publications Tags : Automotive Engineering Mechanical Engineering Automated driving urban development automated logistics Index. décimale : 629.2 Véhicules motorisés terrestres, cycles Résumé : The subject of this open-access publication is the impact of connected and automated vehicles on the European city and the conditions under which this technology can make a positive contribution to urban development. The authors put forward two theses that have received little attention in the scientific discourse so far: Connected and automated vehicles will not become fully established in all sub-areas of the city for a long time. As a result, previously assumed effects - from traffic safety to traffic performance as well as spatial effects - will have to be reevaluated. To ensure a positive contribution of this technology to the mobility of the future, transport and settlement policy regulations must be further developed. Established territorial, institutional and organizational boundaries need to be challenged in a timely manner. Despite or because of the existing great uncertainties, we are at the beginning of a phase of yet shaping the possible future - in technology development, but also in politics, urban planning, administration and civil society. Titre : Cooperatively Interacting Vehicles : Methods and Effects of Automated Cooperation in Traffic Type de document : document électronique Auteurs : Christoph Stiller, Auteur ; Matthias Althoff, Auteur ; Christoph Burger, Auteur Editeur : Berlin [Germany] : Springer Nature Limited Année de publication : 2024 Importance : 608 p. Présentation : ill. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-3-031-60494-2 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Open Access Publications Tags : Cooperative Automated Driving (CAD) V2X-Vehicle-to-Everything Automated Driving Systems (ADS) Cooperative Driving Automation (CDA) automated vehicles cooperative vehicles environment perception human-machine-interaction car2X communication
motion planningIndex. décimale : 629.2 Véhicules motorisés terrestres, cycles Résumé : This open access book explores the recent developments automated driving and Car2x-communications are opening up attractive opportunities future mobility. The DFG priority program “Cooperatively Interacting Automobiles” has focused on the scientific foundations for communication-based automated cooperativity in traffic. Communication among traffic participants allows for safe and convenient traffic that will emerge in swarm like flow. This book investigates requirements for a cooperative transport system, motion generation that is safe and effective and yields social acceptance by all road users, as well as appropriate system architectures and robust cooperative cognition. For many years, traffic will not be fully automated, but automated vehicles share their space with manually driven vehicles, two-wheelers, pedestrians, and others. Such a mixed traffic scenario exhibits numerous facets of potential cooperation. Automated vehicles must understand basic principles of human interaction in traffic situations. Methods for the anticipation of human movement as well as methods for generating behavior that can be anticipated by others are required. Explicit maneuver coordination among automated vehicles using Car2X-communications allows generation of safe trajectories within milliseconds, even in safety-critical situations, in which drivers are unable to communicate and react, whereas today's vehicles delete their information after passing through a situation, cooperatively interacting automobiles should aggregate their knowledge in a collective data and information base and make it available to subsequent traffic. Format : 24 cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-1-78405-233-1 Note générale : Bibliogr. p. [141]-148. Index Langues : Français (fre) Catégories : Livres Tags : Automobiles électriques -- Industrie et commerce -- Histoire Moteurs synchrones -- Histoire Automobiles -- Batteries -- Histoire Transport durable Index. décimale : 629.2 Véhicules motorisés terrestres, cycles Résumé : Après plusieurs échecs observés depuis 120 ans, la voiture électrique pourrait se démocratiser pour des raisons technologiques, écologiques et industrielles. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-1-00-333984-7 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Open Access Publications Tags : Co-design Heterogeneous computing Embedded systems Automotive architecture ADAS Hardware acceleration Real-time middleware Sensor fusion System-on-Chip (SoC) Index. décimale : 629.2 Véhicules motorisés terrestres, cycles Résumé : The European research project DESERVE (DEvelopment platform for Safe and Efficient dRiVE, 2012-2015) had the aim of designing and developing a platform tool to cope with the continuously increasing complexity and the simultaneous need to reduce cost for future embedded Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). For this purpose, the DESERVE platform profits from cross-domain software reuse, standardization of automotive software component interfaces, and easy but safety-compliant integration of heterogeneous modules. This enables the development of a new generation of ADAS applications, which challengingly combine different functions, sensors, actuators, hardware platforms, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI). This book presents the different results of the DESERVE project concerning the ADAS development platform, test case functions, and validation and evaluation of different approaches. The reader is invited to substantiate the content of this book with the deliverables published during the DESERVE project. Technical topics discussed in this book include:Modern ADAS development platforms;Design space exploration;Driving modelling;Video-based and Radar-based ADAS functions;HMI for ADAS;Vehicle-hardware-in-the-loop validation systems.
