Titre : Autonomous Trajectory Planning and Guidance Control for Launch Vehicles Type de document : document électronique Auteurs : Zhengyu Song, Auteur ; Dangjun Zhao, Auteur ; Stephan Theil, Auteur Editeur : Berlin [Germany] : Springer Nature Limited Année de publication : 2023 Importance : 218 p. Présentation : ill. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-981-9906-13-0 Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : Aerospace Engineering Astronautics Autonomous Guidance Carrier Rockets Satellite Launch Vehicle Index. décimale : 629.1 Aérospatiale Résumé : This open access book highlights the autonomous and intelligent flight control of future launch vehicles for improving flight autonomy to plan ascent and descent trajectories onboard, and autonomously handle unexpected events or failures during the flight. Since the beginning of the twenty-first century, space launch activities worldwide have grown vigorously. Meanwhile, commercial launches also account for the booming trend. Unfortunately, the risk of space launches still exists and is gradually increasing in line with the rapidly rising launch activities and commercial rockets. In the history of space launches, propulsion and control systems are the two main contributors to launch failures. With the development of information technologies, the increase of the functional density of hardware products, the application of redundant or fault-tolerant solutions, and the improvement of the testability of avionics, the launch losses caused by control systems exhibita downward trend, and the failures induced by propulsion systems become the focus of attention. Under these failures, the autonomous planning and guidance control may save the missions This book focuses on the latest progress of relevant projects and academic studies of autonomous guidance, especially on some advanced methods which can be potentially real-time implemented in the future control system of launch vehicles. In Chapter 1, the prospect and technical challenges are summarized by reviewing the development of launch vehicles. Chapters 2 to 4 mainly focus on the flight in the ascent phase, in which the autonomous guidance is mainly reflected in the online planning. Chapters 5 and 6 mainly discuss the powered descent guidance technologies. Finally, since aerodynamic uncertainties exert a significant impact on the performance of the ascent / landing guidance control systems, the estimation of aerodynamic parameters, which are helpful to improve flight autonomy, is discussed in Chapter 7. The book serves as a valuable reference for researchers and engineers working on launch vehicles. It is also a timely source of information for graduate students interested in the subject En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1007/978-981-99-0613-0 Autonomous Trajectory Planning and Guidance Control for Launch Vehicles [document électronique] / Zhengyu Song, Auteur ; Dangjun Zhao, Auteur ; Stephan Theil, Auteur . - Berlin (Germany) : Springer Nature Limited, 2023 . - 218 p. : ill.

ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-981-9904-98-3 Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : Civil Engineering Geoengineering Foundations Hydraulics Shear Stress Tri-linear Model Bolt/Grout Interface Debonding Behaviour Shear Slipping Index. décimale : 624.151 Géotechnique Résumé : The purpose of writing this book is to provide the latest research findings in ground control techniques in mining engineering, especially the rock bolting techniques. Since rock bolts are widely used in mining engineering and civil engineering, they are significant in guaranteeing the safety of underground openings. However, instability issues still occur with the rock bolting technique. Therefore, it is valuable to understand the exact load transfer mechanism of rock bolts. This book summarised the recent research work regarding rock bolting conducted by the authors. It is valuable for the readers to fully understand the reinforcing mechanism of fully grouted rock bolts. This book focuses on the bond failure mode of fully grouted rock bolts, which is the most widely encountered failure mode in rock bolting. Different investigation approaches are used in this book, including numerical simulation, analytical modelling and experimental tests. Therefore, this bookconducts a comprehensive study to reveal the bond failure process of fully grouted rock bolts. Moreover, it reveals the corresponding bond failure mechanism. Therefore, it helps the reads to fully understand the bond failure mechanism of rock bolting. Moreover, it helps the readers to develop new approaches and methods to prevent failure of the rock bolting system. Titre : Damage and Failure of Rock Triggered by Dynamic Disturbance Type de document : document électronique Auteurs : Xu Chen, Auteur Editeur : Berlin [Germany] : Springer Nature Limited Année de publication : 2025 Importance : 172 p. Présentation : ill. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-981-9694-86-0 Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : Rock mechanics Progressive damage Failure process Dynamic disturbance Cyclic loading Triaxial compression Numerical modeling RFPA Index. décimale : 624.15 Techniques des fondations et géotechnique Résumé : This open access book provides a detailed exploration of how dynamic disturbances, such as those caused by blasting or seismic activity, affect the damage and failure mechanisms of rocks. When excavation is carried out under high stress environment, the external disturbance will change the stress field of the rock, which may lead to potential engineering damage such as large deformation and large displacement of the free surfaces of the engineering surrounding rock, and even cause instability damage, rockburst, and other engineering disasters. From 1960s onward, the subject of progressive damage and failure of rock materials has been extensively investigated to prevent and control geological disasters and engineering accidents. However, the existing researches usually did not take the effects of low-frequency dynamic disturbances on the mechanical properties of rock into consideration. Rock mechanics researchers, such as graduate students, doctoral students, or academics, need to understand the complex interactions between dynamic disturbances and rock integrity. They require up-to-date knowledge of the latest research findings and models to predict rock behaviors accurately.

Titre : Investigation in the Creep-Fatigue Coupled Effect of Rock Salt Type de document : document électronique Auteurs : Jinyang Fan, Auteur ; Zongze Li, Auteur ; Chunhe Yang, Auteur Editeur : Singapour : Springer Année de publication : 2025 Importance : 215 p. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-981-9654-31-4 Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : Salt rock Crystalline material Creep coupled effect fatigue interaction. Index. décimale : 624.151 Géotechnique Résumé : This open access book provides the uniaxial, triaxial, fatigue, creep, creep-fatigue loading tests in order to investigate the salt mechanical response and the related damage mechanisms defining relation between plastic deformation, dilatancy and damage. Based on the experimental results, a new creep-fatigue constitutive model for salt rock that considers creep-fatigue interaction was established by incorporating a state variable that characterizes rock hardening level on the basis of the Norton creep model. Different salt rock mechanical test data sets with varying stress paths were used to validate this creep-fatigue constitutive model. The fit curves and test curves of the stress paths demonstrate good consistency, indicating that the model comprehensively considers the effects of time, load, and state on salt rock's creep-fatigue, effectively describing the creep-fatigue plastic deformation features of salt rock under different stress paths.
