From its origins in public health practice, concern for the well-being of our environment has embraced areas as diverse as chemistry, the earth sciences, biology, engineering and law. The specialist language of any discipline can be a barrier to co-operation and understanding in solving environmental problems. The Dictionary of Environmental Science and Engineering explains many important specialist environmental terms in a clear and concise way. It also provides an extensive guide to the many acronyms encountered in environmental science. The Dictionary of Environmental Science and Engineering will be a valuable reference tool for anyone working, whether directly or indirectly, with the environment. The dictionary describes many of the acts, organisations and requirements related to the legislation of the environment, giving particular emphasis to those of the United States of America. Thus, it will be particularly useful to those seeking a greater understanding of the US perspective on the environmental question. Titre : Refined safety control of unmanned flight vehicles via fractional-order calculus Type de document : document électronique Auteurs : Zhang, Youmin, Auteur ; Jiang, Bin, Auteur Editeur : New York : Routledge Taylor & Francis group Année de publication : 2024 Importance : 248 p. Format : 1 ressource en ligne Accompagnement : CD ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-1-03-267814-6 Note générale : Includes bibliographical references and index Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : Drone aircraft--Control systems--Mathematical models Fault tolerance (Engineering) Fractional calculus Index. décimale : 620 Ingénierie et activités connexes Résumé : The monograph explores the safety of unmanned flight vehicles via the corresponding fault-tolerant control design methods. The authors analyse the safety control issues of unmanned flight vehicles, which include finite-time recovery against faults, concurrence of actuator faults and sensor faults, concurrence of actuator faults and wind effects, and faults encountered by a portion of unmanned flight vehicles in a distributed communication network. In addition, the commonly used simple but effective proportional-integral-derivative structure is also incorporated into the safety control design for unmanned flight vehicles. By using the fractional-order calculus, the developed safety control results are able to ensure flight safety and achieve the refined performance adjustments against faults and wind effects. The book will be of interest to 3rd/4th year undergraduate students, postgraduate and graduate students, researchers, academic staff, engineers of aircraft and unmanned flight vehicles"-- Provided by publisher En ligne : https://www.taylorfrancis.com/books/9781032678146 Refined safety control of unmanned flight vehicles via fractional-order calculus [document électronique] / Zhang, Youmin, Auteur ; Jiang, Bin, Auteur . - New York : Routledge Taylor & Francis group, 2024 . - 248 p. ; 1 ressource en ligne + CD.
