Titre : Cyber-Physical Systems: A Model-Based Approach Type de document : document électronique Auteurs : Walid M. Taha, Auteur ; Abd-Elhamid M. Taha, Auteur Editeur : Berlin [Germany] : Springer Nature Limited Année de publication : 2021 Importance : 187 p. Présentation : ill. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-3-030-36071-9 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Open Access Publications Tags : Cyber-Physical Systems(CPS) Embedded System model-based engineering coordinate transformations modeling-computational systems modeling-physical systems sensing and actuation game theory Index. décimale : 006 Méthodes informatiques particulières Résumé : In this concise yet comprehensive Open Access textbook, future inventors are introduced to the key concepts of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). Using modeling as a way to develop deeper understanding of the computational and physical components of these systems, one can express new designs in a way that facilitates their simulation, visualization, and analysis. Concepts are introduced in a cross-disciplinary way. Leveraging hybrid (continuous/discrete) systems as a unifying framework and Acumen as a modeling environment, the book bridges the conceptual gap in modeling skills needed for physical systems on the one hand and computational systems on the other. In doing so, the book gives the reader the modeling and design skills they need to build smart, IT-enabled products. Starting with a look at various examples and characteristics of Cyber-Physical Systems, the book progresses to explain how the area brings together several previously distinct ones such as Embedded Systems, Control Theory, and Mechatronics. Featuring a simulation-based project that focuses on a robotics problem (how to design a robot that can play ping-pong) as a useful example of a CPS domain, Cyber-Physical Systems: A Model-Based Approach demonstrates the intimate coupling between cyber and physical components, and how designing robots reveals several non-trivial control problems, significant embedded and real-time computation requirements, and a need to consider issues of communication and preconceptions.

Titre : Entity Alignment : Concepts, Recent Advances and Novel Approaches Type de document : document électronique Auteurs : Xiang Zhao, Auteur ; Weixin Zeng, Auteur ; Jiuyang Tang, Auteur Editeur : Berlin [Germany] : Springer Nature Limited Année de publication : 2023 Importance : 247 p. Présentation : ill. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-981-9942-50-3 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Open Access Publications Tags : Entity Alignment Knowledge Graph Iterative Learning Knowledge Representation Learning Graph Neural Networks Relational Embedding Semantic Matching Link Prediction Cross-lingual Alignment Attribute Embedding Index. décimale : 006 Méthodes informatiques particulières Résumé : This open access book systematically investigates the topic of entity alignment, which aims to detect equivalent entities that are located in different knowledge graphs. Entity alignment represents an essential step in enhancing the quality of knowledge graphs, and hence is of significance to downstream applications, e.g., question answering and recommender systems. Recent years have witnessed a rapid increase in the number of entity alignment frameworks, while the relationships among them remain unclear. This book aims to fill that gap by elaborating the concept and categorization of entity alignment, reviewing recent advances in entity alignment approaches, and introducing novel scenarios and corresponding solutions. Specifically, the book includes comprehensive evaluations and detailed analyses of state-of-the-art entity alignment approaches and strives to provide a clear picture of the strengths and weaknesses of the currently available solutions, so as to inspire follow-upresearch. In addition, it identifies novel entity alignment scenarios and explores the issues of large-scale data, long-tail knowledge, scarce supervision signals, lack of labelled data, and multimodal knowledge, offering potential directions for future research. The book offers a valuable reference guide for junior researchers, covering the latest advances in entity alignment, and a valuable asset for senior researchers, sharing novel entity alignment scenarios and their solutions. Accordingly, it will appeal to a broad audience in the fields of knowledge bases, database management, artificial intelligence and big data.
